Asian Transmission Corporation (ATC), which is Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s automotive parts production base in the Philippines, has been embarking on tree-planting projects for the past decade as part of Mitsubishi Motors Corporations’ care for the environment under the slogan “ATC Donates Young-Fruit-Bearing Trees to Achieve a Green Environment”. ATC sets the goal of planting 25,000 young trees (5,000 young trees annually for five consecutive years, totally 25,000 trees). The tree-planting campaign has been ongoing since its 45th anniversary in 2018.
In fiscal 2022, ATC donated a total of 3,500 young fruit-bearing trees to a Youth Organization of the government of Laguna and municipalities in Laguna Province, pushing the total number of trees planted to approximately 27,000, beyond its 25,000 target.
ATC intends to continue this activity in fiscal year 2024 to preserve the green environment in partnership with Laguna Province, the Department of Natural Resources, schools and NGOs, etc.
